Dr. P. V. Shankar

Dr. Shankar first learned about Swami over forty years ago while he was completing his Masters Degree in computer science at the University of Madras. He completed his Ph.D. in computer science in 1974 at the prestigious India Institute of Science in Bangalore. While he was in Bangalore, Dr. Shankar had the opportunity to spend more time with Swami, and had many personal experiences that brought him much closer to Swami. He came to the United States in 1977 to work at the University of Maryland, and moved to California in 1978. He was the Chief Scientist at a leading technology firm in Los Angeles before becoming a consultant for large companies in the computer industry. Dr. Shankar is very active in the Sai Organization, and he is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Sathya Sai Baba Society of America.

The Center is on the 2nd Floor of the Victorian House located between Kelly-Moore Paints and Gas & Shop. It is on South Van Ness between 16th and 17th streets. Parking- Street parking can be difficult, paid parking lot directly behind the Center at 17th and Shotwell St can be used. The entrance is on Shotwell between 16th and 17th.Normal hourly rates are in effect. Please make sure to pay and display your ticket.
